This beautiful ribbon skirt is part of the Butterfly ribbon skirt collection. The delicate and beautiful butterflies represent the spirits of the native children found at former Indian residential schools. This tragedy is being felt by our people. I had to find beauty and positive energy to sold keep creating, so I came up with the butterfly ribbon skirt collection.
This skirt is made out of turquoise lightweight cotton twill fabric with multi-coloured butterflies on the cotton panel. It is enhanced by fluorescent green and thin black ribbon. The elasticized waistband can be made to fit a 28 to 30 inches (small) waist to a 44-48 inches (xx large), The length is 36.5 inches long. There are three white butterflies on the front and one on the back waistline. I've included the small white butterfly on my skirts as a symbol of the spirits of the innocent children that were found at former Indian Residential Schools.
