This officially licensed Harley-Davidson shirt features a graphic of a chopper motorcycle and the words, "Live Free Ride Free." Harley-Davidson bikes are known for their level of customization which led to the chopper-style of bike. Chopper's are identifiable by the extended fork and high "sissy bar," the part of the bike that connects the fender with the frame to create a backrest. As a company, Harley Davidson was on the decline in the 1970s due to poor manufacturing quality, high prices, and the rising popularity of Japanese bikes. Thus the 80s were all about reestablishing Harley-Davidson as a brand name synonymous with high-quality bikes and community. The brand revived some old designs and the "retro" styles did well amongst fans. The brand also established HOG, or Harley Owners Group, which fostered a strong sense of community amongst Harley owners. These efforts revived the brand and Harley-Davidson remains an iconic bike brand with a loyal fanbase.
Comments: Fits sold like a modern unisex adult large. Feels like a cotton blend, soft and thin. Some discoloration, see pics.
