Their not like opera glasses rather you hold it in your hand and (for me anyway) it's a magnifier or hold it over writing for a reader effect. It's on gold plated chain that does have a spring clasp but easily slips over your head. The cat's eye frame when open measures 4.5" across. The handle measures 3" long. I hope I took enough pictures. Only one I have in this color and actually the last one left - I've sold all the others.
