Then turned off.
First fired at 950 C.
The spirals were then covered with cold wax.
The vase was sold smeared with glaze several times.
The figure was then fired at about 1,000 C in raku fire.
The parts are removed from the furnace with pliers at 1000 C. By the themperature shock
the Krakeles typical of the Rakubrand are created.
The vase is then placed in barrels filled with sawdust for reduction. Smoking creates the
matt areas and the shimmering of the glaze,
which gives the vase a very elegant appearance.
Depending on the incidence of light, it always shimmers differently.

If you want to decorate the vase with fresh flowers, you need to use a glass insert. RAKU vessels are not waterproof.
