This is a charming miniature oil painting on Canvas board of Californias High Sierras / Mt. Whitney from the Owens Valley. This oval painting is framed and ready for easel.
The painting is a lovely Plein air of the sold gorgeous high sierra skyline and this painting is estimated to have been painted late 1940s making this miniature close to 80 yrs old. This frame looks to be the original frame and has some wear and damage appropriate for age and certainly not taking away from the painting. Please review photos for condition Ms not that this is an original painting and unaltered frame which does have age and wear. The painting is signed and although I wasn't able to authenticate any specific artist, maybe you will be able to identify it.
Artist known or unknown- this is a beautiful original miniature of inarguably one of Californias most beautiful and peaceful places.
