Product code: Vintage African Tribal Figural Scoop or sold Spoon Wooden Hand Carved Wallhanging
This African object was collected by a photographer on assignment in the 1970's and was old at that point. Hand carved out of a light weight wood with legs and feet. There's intricate carving running up the shaft and around sold the "hip" area. The wood is split at the tip of the scoop for about an inch & there are little nicks on edges. This was an object that was used but now we just want to view it as primitive Art. Length: 17" Width: 2.75" Depth: 1.5" All over this object you see the chips and carvings of the maker. A remarkable piece. Sale supports Vermont's PuppeTree. Thank you & please check our other listings.
