The sculptures are made from recycled welded scrap metal, including a tool box, cutlery, threaded bar and a hair grip.

Butterflies represent metamorphosis. From a larval infancy, to ascension: elevation to the embodiment of the vivid beauty in nature, fragile, transient and exquisite.
This sculpture has been very popular. We like to think that the buyers are people seeking an emblem of beauty transcending endless consumption.


The subject is a Holly Blue Butterfly which is native to the UK.

It stands approximately 3" high and is just under 3" from the back of its wings to the tip of its antennae.

This is a piece of art intended for inside use.

Being made of scrap metal, this sculpture is probably unsuitable for children.
