Hummel Goebel 'Little Nurse' Figurine

This wonderful figurine features two adorable youngsters—a caring little nurse and her patient. The little nurse in her white coat and red cross bandana bandaged her patient's finger. She appears to be telling him to be very careful when handling sharp objects. 'Little Nurse' was modelled by master sculptor Gerhard Skrobek in April 1965. 'Little Nurse' was a closed Edition, but in celebration of sold the figurine's 25th anniversary in 2009, a commemorative edition was released with a 25th Anniversary backstamp and hang tag.

The figurine is crafted in porcelain and hand painted with careful attention to details. It measures 4-1/4" tall with base x about 2-5/8" wide x 3-1/2" long. It is marked with a pressed in "M. I. Hummel" facsimile signature (her personal stamp of approval) on top of the base and stamped on the underside with TMK-6 The Missing Bee trademark. Initialed and dated 1983 by the painter. Made in W. Germany. TMK-6 pieces were produced from 1979–1991.

In Near Mint condition. Well preserved. Colors are vivid and there are no crazing lines, no chips, no scratches. Nice and clean too, no unsightly stickers and gooey sticker residues. Would make a great addition to a collection, or a nice gift. No box. Weight before packaging is 6 oz. Will ship boxed via USPS Priority Mail.
