Product code: RARE 40oz Antique sold Ball Perfect Mason Coffee Jar 1910-20 w/Zinc Lids
This is an antique 40oz Ball Mason Jar, used for packing coffee according to “The Fruit Jar Works, Volume 2” by Alice Creswick (published 1987) and was produced between 1910-1923 according to the logo design. Very good overall condition, with some scratches and general wear inside and out consistent with age. It measures 8 inches tall and the mouth is approx 2 inches diameter. I'm including 2 zinc milk glass lids. Photos showing scale weight are to verify capacity. (2lb + 8oz = 40oz full). The scale was zeroed out prior to filling the jar to show only the capacity weight. The last picture shows the 40oz jar next to a standard quart size jar for comparison. The quart jar is not included and is sold only for comparison. Current shipping option is FedEx (5-14 days).
