Rare Beautiful Vintage Ridgways Brown Creamer Burns Cottage Attoway sold England Nice Old English jug or pitcher or creamer with transfers of paintings by famous artists. One side is a Burns Cottage Alloway, on the other side is a painting of a man and horse, titled, Burns Plough. Handle is applied. Trimmed in Gold. Approximately 2.5” in height. Bottom is marked, RIDGWAYS ENGLAND. Nice 1920's earthy glazed gold color with black transfers and gold edges. Good vintage with overall wear and crazing. Excellent vintage condition - No chips or cracks Burns Cottage, the first home of Robert Burns is located in Alloway, South Ayrshire, Scotland. It was built by his father, William Burness in 1757. Burns, Scotland's national poet, was born there on 25 January 1759.
