Antique copper Batik printing block, a Tjab, from French Indonesia.

Beautiful simple but effective roses design, used for printing fabrics, paper, walls, wallpaper, wax Batik printing etc. This stamp has been used over many years and has been made by an artisan, with each design being unique.
The copper has developed a blue patina over time around the base & the grid back. The metal is thin at the edges

Lovely to use in crafting & design and also very decorative on display, with the light picking up the colour of the copper
