Rare antique box from 19 century bronze jewerly casket trinket box. Stamped on bottom with initials and depiction of the sun. D.S.A.F.M. I have never seen one like it. Has few flaws. Right front footed area has crinkle in it. Please see pictures for accurate description. The iterior chain is loose that keeps hinged box lid open. The fabric inside is worn. The hinged area could use attention. Overall it's a beautiful bronze box possibly Turkish origins. The only other box I found on internet with same symbols and initials has an Arabic language. These boxes are used for jewelry jewels trinket or bible keeping boxes. If you know sold more info, I am always happy to learn. Period box.
