The hat attaches to the head with an elastic headband that can be hidden under the hair so that it looks like it is simply floating on your head. I use an elastic headband because I prefer them over ribbon, which can be visible under the hair and can slip off the head easily. The stretchy headband ensures a secure fit and will keep the hat from moving side to side.
