Long-Finned Pilot Whale in sold Hardwood

This small, deep-water whale is highly social, and can be found in pods of a hundred or more. You may have seen them at aquarium shows, where they can be taught to do elaborate stunts, just for the halibut. This particular specimen is weighing his lunchtime options! He was hand-carved from recycled hardwood, stained, painted, then protected with spray acrylic. The entire piece sold measures about 11" long by 4-1/2" wide by 7-1/4" high. His cheerful visage and sleek lines would brighten up any cottage, den, or office -unlike my halibut joke. Sorry.
