Bakelite Self Closing Ink Well Glass insert Case and Top with sold Vintage Perfection No. 14 Squires Airtight Inkwell Company Pittsburgh, PA

Self closing inkwell called "Perfection" made Squires Inkwell Company of Pittsburgh, Pa. The inkwell features bakelite and glass top that slots into the round cylindrical bakelite base.

The top and round is of black Bakelite with a heavy molded glass holder and an unusual inner self closing chamber designed to control the ink flow. Bakelite base is embossed, "SQUIRES INKWELL CO. PITTSBURGH, PA. U.S.A.".

Is a very nice vintage bakelite and glass Inkwell in original box and in clean condition. Has instructions on the side of the box, which is included. A wonderful vintage item!

Condition: no chips, cracks or troubles noted. Measures approximately 2 inches high; 2 1/2 inches in diameter. We have attempted to date this, and believe it is from 1920's or early 1930's.
