Elegant, vintage, screen door lockset salvaged from Southwestern PA. The set consists of 1 knob, 1 lever, 2 rosettes, 1 barrel lock, 1 strike plate for the door jamb, 1 spindle with 2 setscrews to connect the knob & lever, all necessary installation screws in factory-sealed envelope, the original box, installation template sold, and certificate of authenticity.

All parts are solid brass, not plated steel. The brass parts are all plated with copper and coated with black-enamel paint in the recessed areas. The parts also have a texture and the paint makes the textured pattern look like stone.

We found all parts in their original boxes (see last photo). It was made by, "Dexter Industries," of Grand Rapids, MI during the 1960's. All parts are considered, "New Old Stock," which means that they were made a long time ago but was never used or installed.

* The lock is reversible and could accommodate the swing of any door.

* This is not just a passage set; it also has a privacy system. The interior rosette/plate has a switch, which could be lifted and lowered to disable or enable the knobs from turning.

Since the set was never used, it is in great shape! There are light scratches and scuffs here and there from the parts being shuffled around over the years, but no breaks, cracks, chips, dents, or gouges. The lock functions smoothly.
