It is a working wall phone that has an extra little feature on the cradle. This was used with a "party line" service. You would pick up the sold receiver and hear to see if any of the neighbors were on the phone line already without them knowing. This would have been used in the 1940's. Made by the Automatic Electric Co. It's in great shape with no chips or cracks.
